Your main responsibilities:

  • Ensure that we provide the best technical solutions to our customers
  • Work closely with partners and customers
  • Draw on your FPGA design experience, product and application expertise to explore and implement solutions that meet our customers’ diverse range of requirements
  • You will be part of the Marketing & Sales team
  • Provide essential customer feedback to the team

Your profile:

  • A first class or 2.1 Hons degree in Electronic Engineering or a related subject
  • A background in FPGA design
  • Experience working with customers to implement complex technical solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the Company and with external stakeholders
  • Experience in delivering technical presentations and training
  • FPGA coding experience
  • Flexibility to travel (primarily EMEA)

FPGA Design Engineer

Job Description

Position Overview:
Bittware, a Molex company, is seeking a highly motivated and skills FPGA Design Engineer.  BittWare provides solutions based on FPGA technology from Intel (formerly Altera) and Xilinx. Many of the world’s leading companies use our products to provide the processing power for their demanding applications in Data Center, Military & Aerospace, Government, Instrumentation and Test, Financial Services and Broadcast and Video.
We are looking for someone that can lead design for FPGA technologies. With a small office in Concord, the successful candidates will fit well within the culture of hardworking, collaborative team members.

Essential Functions: 

  • Develop and maintain example projects to support BittWare’s hardware platforms
  • Develop custom IP blocks for both internal and external FPGA interfaces
  • Implement existing physical level IP blocks to interface to external components (e.g. High-speed Memory, SerDes)
  • Simulate, synthesize and board test of FPGA test and example projects
  • Contribute to technical documentation of supported IP and example projects

Position Qualifications

Required Qualifications:                                                                                    

  • Associates degree in computer science, technology or related field
  • 5+ years of FPGA development
  • Proven experience with HDL (Verilog preferred)
  • Experience with latest FPGA tool chains (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Achronix ACE)
  • Experience performing test-bench and simulation design
  • Experience with high speed memory interfaces e.g. DDR3/4, QDR2/2+/4
  • Experience with high speed SerDes e.g. PCIe, 10/25/100GE)
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and productively
  • Ability to work effectively both independently or on a team
  • Very good interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working on Linux and Windows
  • Hands-on experience with board level solutions
  • Strong lab debug skills
  • Willingness to support customers as needed

Preferred Qualifications:     

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technology degree

  • High ability to troubleshoot issues

Software Engineer

Job Description

Position Overview:
BittWare, a Molex subsidiary, is looking for a talented and flexible Software Engineer who enjoys and excels in software design, development, and customer support roles.

The successful candidate will design, develop, and document software components and applications that provide user interface, low level support and testing for powerful computing engines based on FPGAs. The Software Engineer will also be called on to solve customer specific problems and will participate in peer code reviews. There will be interaction with hardware engineers, FPGA developers, customers and other software and system engineers on a regular basis. Responsibilities entail working with a range of embedded devices, hardware products, operating systems, and software development environments.

Essential Functions:

  • Create scripts and applications for testing software, FPGA images, and hardware.
  • Improve existing test infrastructure and work towards Continuous Integration.
  • Collaborate on projects with software, FPGA, hardware, and systems engineers.
  • Provide a high level of service interacting with customers through an issue tracking system.
  • Debug and resolve customer issues.

Position Qualifications

Required Qualifications:                                                                                   

  • Associates degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related technical degree
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a test production environment or software
  • Experience performing Python scripting
  • C/C++ programming

Preferred Qualifications:     

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related technology degree
