New Versal Card w/2X Logic

Introducing the AV-811p featuring nearly double the logic as our AV-870p. The card has four QSFP-DDs supporting up to 400 GbE (including dedicated DCMAC hard IP), 48GB of DDR4 and PCIe Gen4 x16.

What about DSP hard IP? That’s doubled too! Specifically, the AV-870p with the VP1502 device has 7,440 DSP engines and 3,738k System Logic Cells. For the new AV-811p however, DSPs are 14,352 and LCs are 7,352k (using VP1802–the VP2802 option has similar numbers).

Of course, the AV-870p has advantages too, including the potential for many more 400G links using the VP1402 or the VP1552 for lower-latency GTYP transceivers.

Launching 3U VPX for Aerospace and Defense

While BittWare has produced VPX products in the past (including 3U), it’s been a while since we have announced new offerings in this mil/aerospace market. However, with the acquisition of AirBorn by Molex, and working with their team, we have found now is the time to help get the latest CPUs/GPUs/FPGAs/RFSoCs into these embedded form factors.

As you will notice in our Aerospace and Defense Solutions (ADS) page, we are leveraging our ties with AMD as a Premier Embedded Partner Program member. Their strength in embedded devices (including their latest processors and RF chips) is in growing demand as we have started talking with customers.

With that we are, at the MOSA show, officially inviting you to request our Early Access Program for VPX! It will (as of this writing) require NDAs with BittWare and AMD, but you’re going to get our roadmap, preliminary data sheets, and the opportunity to give us feedback on the specifics you’d like to see us build. Sound good? Head on over to our ADS page to learn more and sign up!
