OVH Case Study: Anti-DDoS Solution
BittWare customer OVHcloud built a powerful anti-DDoS solution using FPGA technology, specifically the XUP-P3R card.
We’ve integrated Dell’s compact, ruggedized, and expandable 2U edge server with our full lineup of Achronix, Altera, and AMD FPGA-based cards. BittWare’s TeraBox 210DE combines a high-powered 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable host with high-density FPGA resources. At less than 19in/477mm deep, it offers accelerator-based performance outside of the data center.
Configurations include two of BittWare’s large double-width cards using Achronix Speedster 7t, Altera Agilex, or AMD Virtex UltraScale+ FPGAs. The system can also be configured with four** low-profile cards or full height cards. No matter which configuration you choose, you’re getting BittWare’s installation and support, plus options for Dell server support.
Up to 2 double-wide FPGA cards can be configured or
4** single-width cards
The TeraBox 2102D is a 2U FPGA server based on the Dell PowerEdge XR12 chassis. This server offers a 3rd generation Intel Xeon Scalable CPU along with high PCIe slot density. The XR12 is ruggedized, MIL-STD, and NEBS Level 3 compliant (server only) and is ideal for telecommunications, military, and retail applications. All system I/O is available on the front panel. Dell ProSupport options are also available.
For system management, BittWare’s FPGA cards are equipped with a Board Management Controller (BMC), which accepts PLDM commands. Use it along with BittWare’s Software Development Kit to program the FPGA over USB, monitor card power and temperature, and re-program the onboard clocks. You’ll also be able to set points to shut down the card when it gets too hot, access JTAG, or access the software tools remotely.
Choosing a TeraBox FPGA server means knowing you are getting a pre-configured and tested solution. This includes setup and installation of your FPGA cards and associated hardware, your choice of operating system, and development tools. Your TeraBox arrives ready for use—giving your team more time for development and deployment.
A TeraBox warranty covers the whole system!
BittWare’s 3-year TeraBox warranty covers not only the FPGA accelerator cards but also the entire server. If a component in your system fails, everything is covered.
All I/O (QSFP ports, power, networking, drives, video) is on the front of the server.
