BittWare fosters a Lean Six Sigma culture to eliminate waste and execute and achieve operational improvements through the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) continuous improvement methodology.
The BittWare Lean Six Sigma culture includes the following core elements:
5S Workplace Organization Sort and remove unneeded items, simplify or set-in-order so that items are neatly arranged for use, scrub/shine the work area, standardize all workstations to the same level of order and cleanliness, and sustain this organization.
Build requirements, product status, and performance metrics are on-line, up-to-date, and automatically updated and displayed to manufacturing. There is a focus on simplicity for quick and effective decision making at all levels of the organization.
Continuous efforts to Reduce the seven wastes of manufacturing including transportation, inventory, movement, waiting, over processing, over production, and defects.
The achievement of quick improvements through formal and informal kaizen events.
Kanban Deployment / Single Piece Flow
BittWare has deployed Kanbans for all major work centers in our manufacturing facility. These Kanbans provide the visual signals necessary to know when a work center needs to perform work, and guides when work is performed at upstream work centers. The result is continued progress toward single piece flow, and our goal of 100% on-time delivery to customer commitments.
DMAIC Green & Black Belt Projects
BittWare has a certified Six Sigma Black Belt on staff to help provide direction for our Lean Six Sigma journey. All Green Belt and Black Belt projects are executed through the DMAIC process (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, & Control) using proven tools to help us solve problems, reduce variation in our processes, and get from point A to point B.
