With the DSP21k Porting Kit, you can use your BittWare board on the operating system of your choice. The Porting Kit allows you to easily adapt the DSP21k Toolkit to fit your system, so you can develop DSP applications for your BittWare board. Toolkit ports are available "ready to go" for Windows, Linux (x86 and PowerPC), and VxWorks (x86 and PowerPC*).

With its clean, consistent interface, BittWare's DSP21k Toolkit allows you to develop DSP applications more quickly and easily. The Toolkit includes example programs, diagnostic utilities, and a C-callable Host interface Library (HIL).

The foundation of the DSP21k Toolkit, the HIL provides you with a clean interface to the hardware that is consistent for all BIttWare products. Because some portions of the HIL are specific to the operating system, the Porting Kit allows you to adapt those portions to fit your operating system. Once you have defined the operating-system-specific functions, you can compile the HIL and link it with your host programs, Diag21k, or the example programs and start using your BittWare board in your system.

Along with the Host Interface Library, the Porting Kit also includes source code for the console version of Diag21k. The primary interactive diagnostic for BittWare boards, Diag21k allows you to test, control, and query the board and the external memory.

The Porting Kit provides project files for Windows and VxWorks as well as makefiles for Linux.
