BittWorks for Application Development

Software Toolset for BittWare Hardware

spacer.gifThe BittWorks for Application Development software tools are tightly interconnected with BittWare's ATLANTiS FrameWork, BittWare’s integrated system framework implemented in Altera FPGAs, and with BittWare’s FINe™ Host/Control Bridge, which provides control plane processing and interface via Ethernet and serial port. Working together, all of these tools significantly ease the effort involved in developing applications for BittWare’s FPGA & DSP signal processing hardware.

BittWorks includes:

Signal processing systems designers face the challenge of developing increasingly complex applications for the latest FPGAs and DSPs , while also meeting tight deadlines.

Developing a signal processing application requires a software tool suite that is tightly integrated, takes full advantage of the capabilities of the FPGA and DSP, and covers the entire product development cycle – from code development, to debugging, to final deployment.

To provide such a software suite for its FPGA and DSP hardware, BittWare has leveraged its two decades of signal processing design experience to develop a mature and robust set of software tools.

BittWorks was designed to get developers up and running on their BittWare boards quickly and efficiently and provides complete hardware and FPGA interfaces, which greatly reduces development time.

And because it is based on a consistent, intuitive API that works across many different platforms, including Windows, Linux, VxWorks, and PowerPC, BittWorks not only reduces the cost of porting efforts, it also allows developers the flexibility of developing on the platform that best fits their needs.

Providing further flexibility are remote tools that allow developers to work on their BittWare boards anywhere with network access.

This combination of tools results in a software suite that shortens designers’ learning curve while increasing their productivity, allowing them to reduce development costs and shorten their time to market.
