VXS (VITA 41) adds high-speed serial support to the standard VME form factor by replacing the P0 connector with a high-speed connector. Eight bi-directional lanes of SerDes are available with different options for protocols including Serial Rapid IO, PCI Express, and Gigabit Ethernet.

Target markets are typically in the defense and aerospace industry.

The boards are supported by BittWorks, BittWare's mature and robust software tools providing complete hardware and FPGA interfaces, enabling developers to be up and running on BittWare hardware in minutes.
