BittWare Announces Altera Stratix V GX/GS PCI Express Board with Full FMC Site Support and Flexible SODIMM Sites for Memory Expansion
Ultra high-performance Stratix V FPGA is combined with an extremely flexible memory configuration and a full High Pin Count VITA 57 FMC site for high performance signal processing and data acquisition applications.

CONCORD, NH – BittWare, the leader in Altera-based COTS FPGA boards, announced today the S5-PCIe-F (S5PE-F), the most recent addition to their Altera Stratix V family of boards. The S5PE-F is based on the high-bandwidth, power-efficient Altera Stratix V GX/GS FPGA and is BittWare’s most versatile Stratix V board to-date. FMC site support based on the VITA 57 mezzanine standard for FPGA I/O provides high-performance SerDes and LVDS, along with clocks, I2C, and JTAG all connected directly to the Stratix V enabling designers to customize the S5PE-F to their individual needs with a variety of I/O or processor FMCs. A new memory structure provides extreme flexibility with two SODIMM sites that support up to 16 GB DDR3 SDRAM with optional error-correcting codes (ECC) as well as options for up to 1 GByte RLDRAM3 and up to 72 MBytes QDRII+.
