Executive Team 
Jeffry Milrod
President and CEO
Mr. Milrod is BittWare's President and CEO. Before joining BittWare in 1998, Mr. Milrod gained extensive design experience at NASA and business experience at Booz, Allen & Hamilton. He then merged his technical expertise with his improvisational skills, and started Ixthos in 1991, one of the first companies (along with BittWare) dedicated to COTS DSP, which he ran until it was acquired by DY4 Systems in 1997.
Mr Milrod holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Maryland and an MSEE degree from The Johns Hopkins University.
James M. Bittman
Chairman
Mr. Bittman, Chairman, founded the company in 1989, and is now a member of the technical staff. Mr. Bittman's engineering experience centers on product design, research, development, and testing in DSP environments. Employment prior to starting BittWare includes IBM, E-Systems, and AT&T Bell Labs.
Mr. Bittman has an MSEE from the University of Maryland and an SBEE from MIT.
Darren Taylor
Senior Vice President
Mr. Taylor manages BittWare's domestic and international sales and support organizations. Before joining BittWare, Mr. Taylor was director of business development for Amirix Systems. He also has held management positions at Frog Navigation Systems and Industrial Contractors Holland, in the Netherlands.
Mr. Taylor earned a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Master's of Business Administration from Saint Mary's University, in Canada.
Ron Huizen
Vice President of Technology
Mr. Huizen focuses on technology directions for BittWare, defining new product concepts and working with Sales & Marketing to ensure that customers’ future needs will be met. In a previous role at BittWare, Mr. Huizen oversaw all aspects of product development. Before joining BittWare, Mr. Huizen held various roles in electronic product development at Amirix Systems, including Product Manager Electronic Systems and Product Manager Embedded Software. During his tenure at Amirix, Mr. Huizen started Cabotel Systems, a spin-off company focused on developing semi-custom electronic products, which was bought by Amirix Systems after a profitable first year. Prior to Amirix, Mr. Huizen worked at Nortel Networks for several years on SS7 switching systems.
Mr. Huizen holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from Acadia University (Wolfville, Nova Scotia) and a Master of Computer Science from Carleton University (Ottawa, Ontario).
Mark Pinkman
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Pinkman is responsible for the financial and administrative affairs of BittWare.. Following BittWare's acquisition of EZ-DSP, Ltd. in late 2004, he spent two years in the Belfast, Northern Ireland office, leading its integration with the corporate office in Concord, NH. Prior to BittWare, Mr. Pinkman worked at Ixthos, Inc. (now Curtiss-Wright Controls). He was also a jet engine mechanic in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, and a Lao Linguist in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Pinkman earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Baltimore, MD.
