BittWare believes that part of being a successful company is giving back to the community in which you operate. The company encourages its employees to become involved in this effort, regularly matching employee donations, as well as allowing employees time away from work to volunteer.
BittWare has also directly supported various charities and programs including:
- American Red Cross
The American Red Cross is where people mobilize to help their neighbors—across the street, across the country, and across the world—in emergencies. Each year, in communities large and small, victims of some 70,000 disasters turn to neighbors familiar and new—the more than half a million volunteers and 35,000 employees of the Red Cross. Through nearly 700 locally supported chapters, more than 15 million people gain the skills they need to prepare for and respond to emergencies in their homes, communities and world.
- Bishop Brady High School Robotics Team
BittWare supports the Bishop Brady High School Robotics Team as they compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition.
- Concord Regional Visiting Nurses Association
Every year during the holidays, BittWare supports the Visiting Nurses “Lights of Life” to raise money for their Hospice Program.
- Epilogos Charities
The mission of Epilogos Charities is to improve the lives of the impoverished people in the town of San Jose Villanueva by engaging in community development. For Epilogos, community development means improving the quality of life in many areas, including health, education, housing, employment, water issues, energy, and public sanitation. Epilogos is a non-profit organization supported entirely by donations.
Epilogos is recognized and supported by many organizations, including Habitat for Humanity of El Salvador, ADESCOJ (a local community development organization), the school administrations and municipal government of San Jose Villanueva, many faith-based communities and churches, Engineers Without Borders from many universities, health professionals from many different states in the U.S., and Rotary Clubs from many countries.
- Friends of Forgotten Children
The Friends of Forgotten Children organization strives to assist families with getting the basic life needs of food, clothes, furniture, household goods and holiday gifts. The idea behind this is simply that if the family is not using their time and energy to locate these items, they are then able to focus on the important issue, their family. The relationships and support that can occur after basic needs of life, health and safety are met are tantamount in the survival of the family unit and the strength of its members.
- Granite State Symphony Orchestra
The Granite State Symphony Orchestra provides New Hampshire’s finest professional musicians with the opportunity to play classical music at a cost accessible to people of all ages. The GSSO offers concertgoers performances on par with what is available in larger cities, right in their own back yard. The GSSO is the resident orchestra of the Concord City Auditorium.
- Loudon Food Pantry
Loudon Food Pantry is an independent non-profit organization which strives to feed those who find it financially difficult to feed themselves. We service Belmont, Canterbury, Chichester, Epsom and Loudon.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson School for Preschoolers, Inc.
The Ralph Waldo Emerson School for Preschoolers, Inc. was established in 1966 to provide high quality, developmentally appropriate, early childhood education for preschool age children in the greater Concord area.
- Toys For Tots
The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
